چکیده

Black rot disease is a serious bacterial that harms vegetable crops of the Brassica genus (especially cabbage plants) worldwide. The causal agent, Xanthomonas campestris pv. (Xcc), seed-borne pathogen primarily infects seedlings. Previous studies suggest strain, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens PMB05, can intensify plant immune responses against black and reduce occurrence. In immunity, several reactions occur during attack, but elevation calcium ion concentration in cells essential induction defense responses. Therefore, this study aims to investigate whether control plants be improved by integrating carbonate formulation for preparing B. PMB05. Firstly, we found addition revealed have significantly increased cell endospore populations PMB05 fermentation liquids. To increase convenience field, these liquids were converted powder form subsequent analysis. Results grown seedlings from seeds, mixed with powders, intensified control. We further compared distinct seed treatments using one evaluate its feasibility field application. results demonstrated efficacy yield treatment (SD-160C2) 56.46% 5.91%, respectively, at 10 weeks post transplanting. Interestingly, combined calcium-containing commercial fertilizer spraying did not disease, it weight cabbages after harvest. concluded carbonate-containing an efficient way cabbage.

Biological Control of Apple Ring Rot on Fruit by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens 9001

Apple ring rot disease, caused by Botryosphaeria dothidea (Moug. ex. Fr) Ces. et de Not., is one of the most important diseases on apple fruits. In this study, strain 9001 isolated from healthy apple fruits from an infested orchard was evaluated for its biocontrol activity against apple ring rot in vitro and in vivo. Strain 9001 showed obvious antagonistic activity to B. dothidea YL-1 when plat...

Identification of genes associated with black rot resistance in cabbage through suppression subtractive hybridization

The suppression subtractive hybridization was employed to elucidate the resistance mechanism in Brassica oleracea var. capitata upon infection with Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris. A cDNA library was constructed enriched in differentially expressed transcripts in the resistant cultivar Pusa mukta. A total of 150 unigenes were classified into five functional categories. The present study i...

Calcium Cyanamide in Relation to Control of Clubroot of Cabbage'

In a previous publication ^ the writers reported comparative studies of the effect of calcium hydrate (Ca(0H)2), calcium carbonate (CaCOa), and certain other compounds, when applied to infested soil, upon infection of cabbage by the clubroot organism {Plasmodiophora brassicae Wor.). It was shown that, in well-watered soil in the greenhouse, infection was reduced perceptibly when the reaction of...
